Your Team is Your Most Important Asset.

Your best people carry the clients, the relationships, and the institutional knowledge that keeps the business running. In an SME, they also spend a significant part of every week on operational and administrative work that has little to do with why you hired them.

That sunk time is your most valuable hidden resource. Progentic identify and fix the processes, automate them and release the time back to you.

The Progentic team
Our Offering

Three disciplines. One continuity of purpose.

Most providers hand you one piece of the puzzle. Progentic carries the same understanding of your problem from first analysis to adopted solution, with nothing lost between teams.

01

Workflow Analysis & Engineering

“A problem well defined is a problem well solved.”

Find the cause, not the symptom. Map the workflow, systems and data, and engineer the process before any technology decision.

02

Automation & AI Technology Implementation

“Optimise before you buy.”

The right technology becomes obvious once the process is fixed. Unlock what you already own first; add only what is left.

03

Change Management

“Automation never lands in neutral territory.”

A workflow no one adopts returns nothing. We train, embed and measure until the gain shows up in daily operations.

Success Stories

Real outcomes from real businesses across diverse industries.

"A genuine understanding of the business pressures we're all navigating, taking the time to listen, and able to explain technical issues in a way that connects back to our goals - not just the tech itself."
Simon Watts Research Centre Director, New Zealand

"Andrew had an excellent understanding of the business. He is able to bring many different business lines together to resolve and deliver solutions. Articulate, strong project and people skills."

Paul Gleeson

Investment Banking Executive, Singapore

"Andrew worked with me for a number of years and I highly rate his application to work, energy, commitment and diligence. Andrew is very task oriented, delivery focused and people focused. Was an absolute pleasure to work with."

Paul Turrell

Global Technology COO, United Kingdom

"Daniel's been a fantastic partner for us. He really knows his stuff and always takes the time to understand any issues before jumping into solutions. I've especially valued the strategic guidance and consulting - those sessions have helped shape our IT direction."

Matt Pendleton

How We Work

Problem First, Solutions Last.

Discovery before Commitment.

We start with an advisory phase, with bounded Discovery and Analysis steps, holding off on solution decisions until we understand the problem and how much your existing stack can already do.

Discovery

  • Define the business challenge, precisely
  • Map the workflows, systems, data & the outcomes you want
  • Explore the solution options: analysis, not a solution decision
  • Deliverable: your options, the best approach for each, and how much your existing stack already delivers

Prioritisation & execution

  • Prioritise by criticality, budget & timing
  • We scope, size and quote the prioritised work
  • Analyse workflows in depth and redesign
  • Deliver: optimise · integrate · build-vs-buy · vendor selection · build & implement
  • Change-manage, train and embed, always
Separately scoped, sized & quoted

Solve using what you already own first.

In an average SME only about 25% of existing system functionality is ever used. We work out how much of your existing stack can deliver your outcomes, because every rung we clear here shrinks, and often removes, the business-specific build. Often optimisation savings can help net off any business-specific build costs.

Unlock what you already own
01

Optimise

Use the functionality you already pay for, most systems hide capability never switched on.

02

Extend

Licence add-ons within the stack, incl. AI like Document Intelligence, for a few dollars a month.

03

Integrate

Connect systems and get data flowing. Usually configuration, not a build.

04

Data work

Clean, de-duplicate and consolidate the data itself, so systems and AI can use it.

Add only what's left
05

Buy

A mature market product where the stack can't reach, e.g. voice-to-text for agronomists.

06

Build

Industry- or business-specific applications, only where nothing else fits.

Whatever the mix, we change-manage, train and embed it. A workflow no one adopts returns nothing.

Explore our Expertise

From diagnosis to delivery, the full circuit with nothing left to chance.

Leadership Capability Training

"Leaders adopt first. Teams follow."

+

We guide leaders to an understanding of new technologies to give them the confidence to sponsor and drive initiatives.

Through focused capability training, leaders learn the tools, approaches, and vocabulary needed to apply automation & AI directly to their own work before introducing them to the wider team.

When leaders demonstrate results themselves, credibility replaces theory - making adoption easier and ensuring operational change is led from the top rather than imposed from outside.

Workflow Automation

"Your business is only as fast as its slowest process."

+

We remove operational drag by redesigning slow or broken processes so your business can run at the speed of its fastest capability.

We diagnose the root cause, redesign the workflow, then implement the right solution.

By identifying where high-value people are being pulled into low-value work, we re-engineer the process so that freed capacity can be redeployed into revenue-generating activity.

Adoption-Driven Change

"Change is more than just new technology."

+

We ensure operational improvements actually take hold in the business, so redesigned processes do not translate into unused tools or abandoned initiatives.

We sequence adoption deliberately - starting with the leader proving results, then involving the team in diagnosing operational drag and co-designing the new process and how freed capacity is redeployed.

Our approach aligns financial proof, leadership credibility, and team participation, which builds buy-in and ensures new workflows are embedded rather than resisted.

AI Strategy & Roadmap

"AI strategy should start with a revenue goal, not a technology demo."

+

Help leaders define a clear, practical roadmap for using AI to accelerate the parts of the business that generate revenue, rather than experimenting with disconnected tools.

Starting with the leader's strategic revenue goal, we help identify the AI tools and process changes that support it, prove the value in the leader's own workflow, and then map where operational changes should follow.

Our expertise lies in linking AI adoption to real operational constraints and revenue outcomes, ensuring technology is applied where it produces measurable yield rather than isolated productivity gains.

Solution Design

"The right technology becomes obvious once the process is fixed."

+

We design the right operational solution to support the redesigned process, ensuring the business gets a system that actually fits how it works.

Once the process has been analysed and redesigned, we evaluate the available options - apps, SaaS platforms, automation, AI, or simple workflow changes - and for many SMEs a hybrid solution exists using some or all of these.

The best approach is to start with the business problem rather than a technology preference, which prevents the common failure of applying the right tool to the wrong problem.

Solution Builders

"If it isn't built, it isn't a solution."

+

We turn the designed solution into a working system, integrated into the business so the improved process actually runs in day-to-day operations.

We build, configure, and integrate the required components - whether software, automation, or AI - and deploy them within the redesigned workflow.

We execute "full circuit delivery" from diagnosis to post implementation support, ensuring the solution is not just designed but built, embedded, and capable of capturing the intended operational and revenue gains.

End to End Project Management

"Successful change is engineered, not improvised."

+

We deliver operational change in a controlled way so projects move from design to working reality without disruption to the business.

We apply proven delivery disciplines - Lean Six Sigma for process engineering, PRINCE2 and PMI frameworks for project management, Agile for technology development, and Prosci for change adoption.

These structured methodologies bring clear governance, staged execution, and adoption management, reducing delivery risk and ensuring the solution is implemented, embedded, and delivering measurable results.

Meet Our Directors

Andrew - Director, Workflow Engineering & Change Management

Andrew

Director, Workflow Engineering & Change Management

Outside Progentic, Andrew has owned and run a NZ retail and ecommerce business for 10 years, so when clients talk about operational headaches, he knows first-hand what it feels like when good people are buried in the wrong work.

He also spent years running large technology and change programmes at Deutsche Bank and HSBC - which means he brings that same delivery discipline to SMEs.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury, and is a PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in Process Engineering.

Andrew focuses on applying automation and AI where they deliver measurable operational and commercial impact - diagnosing constraints, redesigning processes, and embedding solutions so the value is realised in day-to-day operations.

Andrew manages a small team of seasoned workflow engineers, project managers, change managers and "uber analysts" who work closely with Progentic's clients.

Daniel - Technical Strategy & Implementation Lead

Daniel

Technical Strategy & Implementation Lead

Daniel runs his own IT Managed Service Provider, which means he works inside the operational reality of New Zealand SMEs every day. He encounters the same problems repeatedly, across dozens of clients and multiple industries - which gives him genuine pattern recognition about where the pain sits and what actually fixes it.

His background covers IT leadership, software development, and systems architecture, but the lens he brings to every engagement is business-first, not technology-first. He has seen first-hand what happens when technology gets applied to an undiagnosed process problem.

At Progentic, Daniel leads technical strategy and implementation - translating process diagnoses into working solutions and seeing them through until the business is running the redesigned process and capturing the intended gain.

Daniel manages Progentic's team of developers, engineers and solution architects.
